NOTE: This is the same review I left on Amazon. My feelings are still the same, so I'm not going to reinvent the wheel.
I purchased the RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK87 Sink87G RGB in January 2025 and was genuinely impressed right out of the box. The build quality felt solid, the typing experience was smooth and responsive, and the keyboard back lighting was customizable and vibrant without being over-the-top (even though I only use white). At this price point, it honestly felt like a great value — better than some more expensive boards I have used.
Over the next couple of months, though, I started noticing some minor issues — a keystroke would occasionally not register, or it would double-type. It wasn’t consistent, and at first, I figured it might just be me. But the issue slowly became more frequent, and eventually, I knew something was off.
I decided to contact Royal Kludge support — not expecting much, to be honest. Maybe a canned response, or a small discount toward a future purchase. What I got instead totally surprised me.
Their customer service team was incredibly responsive and genuinely helpful. They didn’t just go through the motions — they took the time to listen to what I had already tried and then offered new, detailed troubleshooting steps that showed they actually understood the product and cared about solving the issue. When that didn’t fix it, I reached back out — and the very next day, they had a replacement unit in the mail to me. No hassle, no arguments, just a clear commitment to standing behind their product.
In short: the keyboard itself is great — well-built, stylish, and enjoyable to use. But what really sets Royal Kludge apart is their after-sale support. It's rare these days to find a company that doesn't just make good hardware, but also supports it so well after the sale. That kind of experience builds trust, and it's why I’ll definitely be buying from them again.
If you’re on the fence about trying one of their products, I can say from experience: not only are they worth it — you’ll be taken care of if something goes wrong.
